Indiana University Bloomington College Access Advising partners with Indiana High Schools to meet high school students where they are. By placing near-peer college advisers in underserved Indiana high schools, we are helping students imagine their future and make a plan.
Increasing opportunity for Indiana students
Our mission
To increase college access and promote a college-going culture among first-generation and low-income high school students.
Our work
Through this partnership, we place recent graduates into underserved high schools to serve as full-time college advisers. They collaborate with principals, counselors, and teachers to ensure that all seniors, regardless of their circumstance, have a postsecondary plan.
Our near-peer college advisers guide high school students and their families through the college search, standardized test prep, campus visits, applications, essay writing, FAFSA completion, scholarship research, and the successful transition to post-secondary education.
Our inaugural partners
The Indiana University Bloomington CAA partnership is possible through the support and collaboration of our high school and funding partners. We extend our deepest gratitude to our inaugural partners who chose to believe in this program and want to see a better future for our Indiana students.
